Lines of mowed grass in a field in Chester

Home Farm Charity Ride – What you need to know.

With our charity ride this Saturday and Sunday we have put some bits of info together to help those attending on the day.

Tickets: Please have your tickets available to view either printed or on your phone.

Car Parking/Entrance: The postcode for the field is CH2 4DF and What3Words is ///spring.leap.dream. You will see signs from the road and you’ll be directed to park up by volunteers.

Please Wear Hi-Viz Clothing: There is some roadwork on the route, so please wear Hi-Visibility clothing.

Wear Pink if You Would Like to: You are invited to wear pink to raise awareness, but this is completely optional!

Optional Jump Markers: All jumps are optional, but should you wish to, jumps are marked with red and white flags, these are automatically placed in the direction of the route, with Red flags to the right and white to the left, please do not jump in any other direction.

Route Markers: The route is signed with white or yellow arrow signs on the farm ride and is supported by a cut grass track, please stick to this where you can. Through bridleways and roadwork sections, you will be looking for arrows marked on the floor at each junction. There will be stewards on route to help if needed.

Optional Shorter Route: The full ride is 10 miles however at around 3 miles in you can choose to do a shorter 5 mile route, which is just the farm ride (approx. 5 miles), it misses out the zoo and roadwork, but ensures you can choose a shorter route should you wish to on the day.

Flood Damaged Field: We have one field that is in the process of cultivation stage after severe flood damage over the winter, please take extra care here and ensure you stick to the signed track on the edge of the field.

Afternoon Tea Refreshments: Please join us in raising additional money for the charity with tea, coffee & cake as a post-ride ‘afternoon tea’. There will also be an ice cream van available all day – keep wishing for sunshine!

Rider Safety: Please ensure you are wearing appropriate rider equipment including helmets, back protectors etc.

Additional Donations: This is not a sponsored ride, however we have been asked by a number of people how to make additional donations, so we have provided a just giving page and if you would like to share with friends/family and add an additional donation to this charity then please do so via this link: https://www.justgiving.com/page/home-farm-charity-fun-ride

Lastly, have fun, take photos and take your time around the ride, be courteous to others and just enjoy yourselves! If there are any issues on the day please get in touch with us and we will help – you will be provided with an emergency contact number during sign in.
